Anyone freeze Philly Cream Cheese??
I bought 6 packages of Philly Cream Cheese today. Got a really great deal. I was thinking about throwing some in the freezer but it says on the box for best results do not freeze. So I put them in the fridge. I'm sure I can use them by the use by date in September but was just wondering if anyone has ever froze it before? Does it change the taste or texture? I freeze regular cheese and have never had a problem. Thanks in advance for any advice on this matter!

Yes, I have frozen cream cheese. The taste is the same but the texture changes. It's more runny and slightly bumpy. But I always freeze our cream cheese. I only use it in recipes so it's not a problem,
