The kids were at our bedroom door at 7:30am on Christmas morning! We told them to wait till it was somewhat light out! We did our stockings and then dove into the gifts! The boys loved their new snowboards and Hannah loved everything! Emily really enjoyed opening gifts and liked to try to help others open too! Every year we buy the kids a together gift and this year we bought them a charger for the Wii remotes (last year they got a Wii together) and the new Super Mario Brothers Wii Game. I am thrilled to not have to find batteries that work all the time for the Wii.
Kyle and I did stockings for each other and bought a few small gifts too. We are planning on buying a new Digital SLR camera very soon as a belated Christmas gift together.
Opening gifts was followed by a yummy homemade breakfast prepared by me! We had pancakes, sausage links, bacon and eggs!
We spent the remaining morning and afternoon in our pj's being lazy and playing with our new toys and enjoying the time together at home.
It was a great Christmas. The kids were happy and not at all disappointed with their gifts. We scaled down a little this year financially. They all know that the gifts are nice but get the reason for the season! Jesus' birthday!
